    The air traffic controllers must be checking their career disapation lights as we speak.

    From the giant schnozz, and the warts near the cargo door, it looks like this was a spec. ops. bird, not your standard flying dump-truck.

    Yeah.........I noticed that too. Guess that's why it was flying at night. All the more reason someone is looking for a new CIVILIAN position

    She is a "Compass Call"Herc. They have come through here occasionally in the past. Notice despite the crash the rear ramp remains steadfastly closed? That is because the stuff inside is REALLY sneaky. If the fuselage had ruptured, you never would have seen those pix.

    Actually, the aircraft was not Compass Call. It was an MC-130 Combat Talon, IIRC.

    I still would not want to have been the guy who cleared him to land. That;s alot of expensive hardware spread all over the place.

    Hercs are tough old birds but I guess everything does have a limit!
