I was sitting here in my living room and reading a story on my laptop. All the lights were out except the blue lava lamp-like glitter lamp I have on top of the entertainment center. I looked away from the laptop for a second and my eyes caught my layout sitting on the floor where my son and I left it this evening, and I started thinking how the low blue light looked like moonlight during a summer night. I plugged in the set, turned on the one billboard on the set, and started up the train. I felt like I was there, watching NSR engine 7078 slowly pulling a freight train through the Georgia night on its way back to the Stockbridge Yards from Macon. What a beautiful sight, just me and the train....
Kinda sappy I guess, but I enjoyed the moment and isn't it what this hobby is all about?
