Building UHU's Endurance- My First Build Thread

And finally… the last work on the Lander!
First, the parts for the thrusters are cut out, scored, and folded:

They are then glued together. I had a few issues with the fitting of the black indentation into the shell of the thruster, but managed to make it fit.

The thrusters are then glued onto the Lander:

Lastly, the 6 thruster nozzles are cut out and installed into the Lander. I assemble them like so:

Up next: pictures of the finished lander and (almost) finished Endurance

Save for attaching the central docking hub to the main ring of the Endurance, I have now completed all of Uhu's model. My next task is to construct a stand that will adequately support the model. I have a rough idea, but any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks for looking at my thread and enjoy the pics:

Aaaaaaaand finally done. I'm waiting till spring when its warm enough outside to spray paint the stand black, but otherwise its done and I'm delighted with the end result:

Everything looks fantastic! I like the stand, and I bet once it is painted it will look perfect! It looks like it supports the model in all the right places.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments! That shelf has enough space left on it for my next project… UHU's Pilgrim 7000 from Automata! I'm building an upscaled version of it, as the original size was too small.
