building my own snowspeeder

My wife would hate that...
come home from work and go sit in a man coccon ......
a tv...airco...microwave incl a fridge with all in 1 ready meals...:)

Mine didn't like the idea either, so I purchased a Motorhome so she could come along! She thinks we go camping when we go away in it.sign1 :)

ok a little update..

At this moment i'm working on the gunner..

Somehow is better then the pilot...but still not perfect..

i still am thinking about the legs...
At this moment i only build what you see and that is the figure untill the waist.

i only need some arms...or at least the shoulders.
then i can start to finish the cockpit...

Ok

i'm started with making the cockpit front and back
First i try the front dashboard...

When the construction is complete..then i can make the detail graphics.

And then i hope it looks a little like the real deal :)

The pilot looks really great. When this all comes together, he will really add a touch of realism. :)

Yes today my dashboard is ready..
Made it nice grey...glued the instruments on it.

Now some layering and adding a few red buttons and then he's ready.

Also the button stuff on the sides need to be layered....
Then i can start with the backside of the cockpit.

Impresive build. I cant believe the scale you build on. Your X-Wing was really impressive so I cant wait to see how this one will look finished.

Also hoping there will be room for LEDs. If you are worried about space you might considering using one LED and then use fiberoptics for directing the output.

I thought about the LED thing..
But i think i pass at this one.....or maybe not :)..i still don't know....

On this build i'm trying to scratch build a little more..
And after that...(when i still have space in my room and find enough carton)
I want to try to scratch build a complete Fighter..

I'm following your Y wing thread and it's great...

The detail on this is going to rival the full size prop.
Excellent work

I love all the details they really make the model come to life. Its going to really look good once you have the pilots in there to play with all the gizmos :thumb: Are you scratch building all the details for this?

:)
the details are scratchbuild but i have some pictures of some studiomodels and replicas what i try a little to rebuild. (picture of replica)

The pilots can't play much with the gizmo's, because they don;t have arms and legs..
that is a point i'm still thinking about..
when you look in the cockpit from the side..you don't see them.
but when you look from above.....you see uh...also nothing, you see that they are missing.
Now i'm thinking what to do with it...
