Deciding to try freelancing, he removed the cast on ladder and replaced it with one cut from ladder stock.

He also filed off all parting lines and sanded all the imperfections down in prepping for the paint shop.

Liking what he saw on Nawthern "Snowbird's" RVs, Bubba mounted stainless rims on his, carefully modifying the frame to fit. The fronts came from a 1/64 Johnny Lightning vehicle, the rear from a Racing Champions 1/87 truck model.

The interior had to be modified as well to accomodate the rear wheels.

His hands not being as steady as they used to be, Bubba painted a subtle but sharp striped scheme on his new rig. Coming home late his first time out, he finds his faithful wife had set it up, got the burgers on AND was waiting for him at the door with a frosty one in her hand. Ain't life grand...
