Hi jmurr, and :welcome1: to the Gauge. There are a few steel industry modellers here, so hopefully someone will check in with some more info.
I don't know of any kits for a BOF vessel, and any of the real ones with which I'm familiar are housed in a large building - there's not really much to see from the outside, and only marginally more through any of the large doorways.

These drawings are large and i think it is best they stay big for your purposes.

Here is my newly completed N Scale BOF. Not super-detailed, but that's the way I want it.
I actually built mine close to scale from satellite imagery and photos I have taken. Here are some "pre-paint" images. Google Earth is a great resource for track plans and structures!
