BLI Loco Programming with MRC PA

The quest for info on various DCC systems continues...

I have heard that Broadway Limited locomotives have been difficult to program on some DCC systems (the Zephyr in particular), requiring Tony's booster to help out.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience programming BLI locos with the Prodigy Advance, how well it worked, and if Tony's booster is required for the PA as well.

Thank ya!

I have a BLI Class A, and I have not had any problem programming it on the PA. In order to read back the CVs from the decoder, I had to put a resistor in the line to the programming track. If I remember correctly I had to program the address on my Class A using the long method though, unless I programmed on the main.

I don't have a BLI but I do have a Diesel with QSI sound in it. No problem with the PA and Loco.
