Bauchman 2-6-6-2 Problem Please Help

I just bought a new Bauchman 2-6-6-2 locomotive. The locomotive runs well however the wires going to the locomotive cause the front tender truck to lift off the track. If I take the tender shell off all stays on the track. I have worked with the wiring harness and I have made it better. I was wondering if anyone else has any better tips. Thanks Joe

I can't remember if the Bachmann 2-6-6-2 has the drop apron, attached to the cab, that the fireman would use moving between the engine and tender. if this is present, and in the down position before you connect the tender, this could be the actual cause of the problem. I don't recall any wiring related problem with mine.
