Bachmann Spectrum vs. Kato & Atlas

well I was playing with the spectrum a lil more on my test track and I am in love.. you can totally tell it has all low end gearing.. cause with that thing on full blast you really hear it screaming.. kind of sounds cool..

if anyone has any thoughts about buying a spectrum.. I WOULD!

recieved two other toys today in the mail.. they are Made in japan.. said to be kato but have the atlas name? (dunno what this is all about) but they are older units..

Atlas GP30's both powered with MT couplers

I dont know how old the atlas units are.. but I would take a new bachmann spectrum over older atlas anyday. I tried looking for these on the atlastrains.com website but couldnt find them in CSX roadname. the only difference between a newer model of this unit.. are lit up road numbers.

a couple questions.

does atlas sell shells,? if so how much. that way if I want a dif road name.. I could just get a newer shell etc..
