I am just wondering if this is a favorable track?
It seems to me that because of it's proprietary features that anyone using it is locked into it for all of their layout.
It has some upsides to it, but it seems a bit pricey on a compnent level.
Any thoughts?

We've been using EZ track on my daughter's railroad. One upside is that Bachmann and Model Power are interchangable. I think it's a pain trying to slide those tiny little metal connectors together but other than that, I really like it. It makes a good, solid track. It is a little on the pricey side but be happy you're not dealing in O gauge Fastrack from Lionel. That stuff will send you to the poorhouse in a heartbeat. I'd much rather pay for the HO EZ track. Some of it's components are even cheaper than it's regular O gauge counterparts. (For example, $15.00 for a remote switch in HO EZ track as opposed to $40.00 for a standard remote switch in O27 gauge.) With all that said, I'll give EZ track a thumb and a half up. :thumb:
