AXM STS-117 tlantis shuttle

    Originally, I had planned on building this during my vacation to Destin, Florida.

    However, after a incident on the way down that caused the family vehicle to look like this:

    That plan was quickly out the window.
    Regardless, I was able to recover the box (went to the Revell-Germany SU-47) that contained several models that I had printed off and most of my building supplies from the wreckage of our RV. This was one of the models in that box.

    The landing gear were scratchbuilt.

    What a wonderful model, very nice build! You did an excellent job on the landing gear. Thanks for sharing your photos!

    Great looking shuttle. It must have been a terrifying accident. Glad you're alright!

    Hi Dyna-Soar,

    Thanks for posting your photos of your scratchbuilt Atlantis in a postlanding diorama. It looks great, spcecially the landing gear and the tailfin.
    Thank God you are OK after that accident!

    Excellent shuttle. Wow, it seems that an airplane landed on you car... hope noone got seriously injured. Best wishes.
