I posted in the scratchin' and bashin' section a message looking for steam and sand domes for a narrow gauge kitbash I am doing. I am looking for domes that will fit a boiler approx 40-48 inches in diameter. I am working in HOn30.
Most makers of domes only list them as small, medium or large, unless it is made for a specific loco, like a k27.
Is there a loco with similar boiler diameter that I can use the domes for a know loco, like a c-16? Or has anyone used the small/medium/large domes and noted that boiler sizes they mated to? Or whould someone have suggestions as to modifying domes to fit a different size (within reason)?
