This looks GREAT so far!
Although, I can see GREEBLE potential!!!
Yes, endless playground for greebles - But keep in mind that this segment is only 37 x 57 x 24 mm in size…
Next part in line:
That is small indeed, but I am one of those special kind of crazy people that like to take a challenge like that.
starting test build of segment 6 - the tail part of the plattform.
first this part
to get this
(@Rhaven Blaack )
Compined with these parts
I get tthat plate
(@Rhaven Blaack there's still greeble potential )
It is super tuning
This is FANTASTIC looking detail!!!
last greebles for the plate:
when will it be finished
This is coming along very nicely.
Following this thread gave me the incentive to watch the full movie again last night.
@skoda: I hope soon
here is the development status:
I don't know how to simulate the "walkway" gratings at that scale.
Black on white, grey on white or grey on black? Or printed on transparent material?
grey on black
The build up of segment are going very smoth and better than expected:
BUT then I realized that something is really gone wrong!
The part has the wrong size. The parts are about 40% to big! AAAAAAARGHH
The problem is not to scale it down to the right size (minute work)
I fear the parts are too small to build it as intended…
I think it does not matter it is big
It's "only" segment 6 that doesn't match...
Template for the "tower" is finished and build test passed:
you have a very nice good job
This is a superb architectural study, and a damned nice model to boot!!
I finished the template for the crane:
… and testbuild:
side parts for the "stairs"
with glued braces
cut out and…
finished (1 of 2)
next: build up the 23 steps…
This looks REALLY GOOD!!!
I don't think I have ever seen something go from a Render to a part in such a short time!!
