I am hoping someone can offer me some advice... I am getting ready to revisit the hobby after a 30 year hiatus. I want to model the (Atlas) Atlantic Long Haul line in N scale. I'm assuming that the Altantic Long Haul track plan is based on an actual railroad. I was wondering if anybody has any information about this particular line. I am looking for ideas about what type of locomotives were run, what types of industries might be serviced, is this an old or current line, etc. I know that ultimately it is up to my imagination but I am just looking for a push in the right direction. Do any of you astute railroad history buffs know anything about this railroad? Thanks guys.

The name "Atlantic Long Haul Line" is NOT the name of a real railroad. Like most commercial tabletop plans, the design is entirely fictitious, whether or not it uses the name of a real railroad.
