I haven't had time to get into my local hobby shop in a while. I stopped in today to see what's new, and found the new Athearn 50' Santa Fe ice bunker reefers. I bought 2, wish I had the money for 2 or 3 more. The level of detail on these "blue box" r-t-r cars is awesome! I'm wondering if Athearn is going to drop the Genesis line of rolling stock and just use Genesis for locomotives. These models in the r-t-r line have separate grab irons, separate ladders, and detailed brake rigging underneath. I don't have a layout to run them on until the club's next train show, but they sure look sweet!
