how in the heck do you get the shell off of a athearn dash 9 i have no clue and the manul didnt say anything about it thank you zachary

It aint easy lol
First, remove the couplers and coupler covers.
There are 4 tabs that are in the middle of the fuel tank (2 on each side) You have to sqeeze in and pull down, don't worry if ya brake one or two of the tabs, just try not to break both of them on one side. If they won't budge, try pushing them in with a flathead screw driver and then sqeezing and pulling down.
It can get frusterating because some seem to come off with ease and others are just so stuborn, just don't get to mad that you chuck the engine at the wall sign1

Might I suggest that once you DO get it off, you file the tabs ever so slightly so NEXT time it'll be easier, this is what I do.
