Armor color question ?

Can someone please tell what paint color is used :
on the bottom half of most German armor and artillery pack 37 models, its that yellow color, it looks like sand ,a light brown yellow ?
What color & brand of paint does everyone use?

dunklegelb? you can make it by mixing a tiny bit of black paint with a lot of yellow.

I think you mean dunkelgelb - there's lots of debate about what colour this really was. A dirty yellow is about the best approximation - try www.jpsmodell.de (look under "Products") for a reasonably authoritative view on the WW2 RAL colours.

Provided your interpretation of dunkelgelb doesn't head off towards orange shades it should be ok. The North African base colour, at least in 1942, was similar to dunkelgelb but not exactly the same.
