    MOS,

I agree with Carl...We gotta work to support our card-model habit. Thank you for hosting the Moonport.

    Good Morning!

I have fixed part 44, and the nav. windows. The parts now fit like a glove. I will have build pictures today, and a final model publish posted in the morning. I promise the SM will be a much quicker, design build. I also addressed the interior wall color issue on part 44. The final publish will also address the scale concern voiced in a prev. post. I will make sure the release is 1:24th with a scale marker on the page, For those who want to rescale, (Up, or down).

I know that most of You may have seen this, (But I was floored by it):

    http://cs.finescale .com/forums/ 290770/ShowPost. aspx

Way cool 1:1 CM build, (I wonder if the scale is correct, (LOL))!

    Have a great day,

    Carl

    Good Morrow, Carl!

    Hi Carl,

Yeah, that´s an awsome 1:1 scale build - I remember seeing it early on, while it was being constructed. I think it was a link from the Starship Modeler Forums: http://www.starshipmodeler.net/cgi-...php?f=42&sid=3f4cee161adb6d2bfc5c036614b989a7

I´m looking forward to being able to download the definitive, last Revision of the CM. A wise move to incorporate a scale ruler! Thanks ever so much for the continuing posting of the build pics and the updated Instructions - they help a lot when deciding which way to make the folds . . .
I´ve got all the parts spread out and rolled on the work bench now and I´ll start experimenting with the duct tape this evening. I´ve printed out the pics you posted to help me along in the assembly - a great help.

For the upcoming SM model, will you incorporate the CM-SM umbilical connection and the high-gain antenna? those are important parts, IMHO, if you want to build a believable CSM model.

After the SM, will you tackle the LEM? Wishful thinking . . .

Thanks for a wonderful model, Carl, and for hosting it, MOS95B!

    All the best from Stockholm,
    Bengt

Edited in: Carl! You should perhaps edit the link and take out the spaces after "finescale" and "ShowPost." to make it work better . . .

    SM Update

    SM Update,

    Question was:

"For the upcoming SM model, will you incorporate the CM-SM umbilical connection and the high-gain antenna? those are important parts, IMHO, if you want to build a believable CSM model."

Yes the SM will have all of the above stated details, (and much more).

As for fold and roll info. I will have the Mount. & Valley folds marked out on the final publish, (as I did on the SA-'s and the Pad's).

LEM? Well I think We should ask Ron C. if He is going to cont. His model first. He is working on another little jewel for the group right now, (But I think He is going to go back to the LEM soon). If He does anything close to the level of detail that is shown on the Star Trek Models, (I need to keep My hands in My pockets, (LOL)).

    FYI,

Michael Vink, is doing some picture compile work on the CM, SA-, and pad models. He is incorp. them into the instruction PDF's he is doing. This will give the builders as much info as We can. Everyone make sure and credit Him for taking on this part of the project. In the end this will have been a team project.

    Have a great day,

    Carl

    Yes!

    The 3D LEM looks cool!

I will write Ron C. Later on to see what he wants to do on that model.

    P.S.
Ron If You read this, (Please post, (If You have a min. to spare)).

    Ton's parashute

Does anyone know the scale of Ton's Apollo parashute that is on John Leslie's site? It would be nice if one of you could scale it to 1/24.

    Hi all,

Not 100% sure but I "believe" Ton's parachute is 1/48th scale. Just remember, you will need 3 of them.

On another note, I'm the guy doing the instruction sheet files. When you guys (and gals?) use these, if you see any discrepancies or mistakes, please feel free to let me know and I will update these ASAP. You can either post them here or email me at "mhvink@sbcglobal.net".

    Thanks,

    Hi Carl (and all)
Yes, I have a preliminary LM model drawn up; it's one of the first designs I worked on waaaay back. I have since been distracted by other pursuits, so I'd be pleased if you, Carl would like to take up the project. I have already sent you the AutoCAD file so you can choose to continue with it, modify it, or start from scratch. I drew up the views from taking measurements from the Monogram plastic model (that has since been destroyed in various moves across the country).

I also think, that your finished LM would match and fit in better with the appearance of the painting of the CM and SM you do.

    Best to all,
    Ron Caudillo

    Thanks Ron!

Looks like We have a plan!!! I did not want to take up the torch, without You having the chance first. Folks Ron's drawings are nice. We should be able to flow from the SM, to LEM project, (NO Problem). Ron, I know what You are working on right now is going to blow the doors off of the group, ((Nudge-Nudge-Nudge), don't rush, it will be worth the wait). I will email You off group soon with a update on things, soon.

God Bless, and have a great day,

    Carl
    P.S.
Don't work Skylab Fans! That will be released right after the LEM.

    P.P.S.
Michael Vink will be designing the Towers for Pad 34, 37a, 37b, & 39a.

See attached pictures. My good camera's flash unit died! I will get something done about it in the morning. Hope these will do for now. The next file post will be out in the morning as promised.

I think You will like the new, (as close as I can get to the photo's), interior colors tomorrow too.
