I grew up next to the LVRR, my bedroom window overlooked the tracks and a bridge over the Lamoille River. The tracks were a lot of fun, as a kid.

How much do 'spose they would charge to overnight 'em to me? Seriously though, if I lived closer, that would be something to jump on. Have you seen how much railroad ties go for at construction stores, landscaping yards or nurseries? Easy money. Somebody find me a flat car (or several) and send 'em to Arizona!

I was thinking that at $3 a gallon, if we drove there and picked them up, it would cost around $900 in gas and $600 in other expenses. My truck would hold maybe 15, making them around $100 each. There was some guy up on Union Hills Rd. selling them for $10-15 each a while back.

Yeah, I think I'll pass on this deal thank you.
