How realistic do you want the horse to be? And does it have to be a feudalistic Japanese horse?

    Hey! :)

Actually it could be any kind of paper horse... even those pokemonian types (small, cute and distorted). I chatted about and passed some links to a friend of mine, she's a horseback jumper and love the animals!

    I wouldn't mind getting a realistic 1/32 riding samurai!

    Roger,

I liked that zebra (many cool models, thanks for the link), but my friend's passion is horses!

So far this the only one I've found, racing horse and jockey:

Someone was designing a horse here a long while ago (rkelterer?). Is this horse ready and if so will it be available for download. My little daughter saw a paper model of a horse with the hussar at the paper models competition in Porabka (Poland) and she loved it. I would like to build such a model for her.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Howdy Kaz,

Well in an effort to please, I try to keep up with what I see online as far as "free downloads" of card models go.
I understand you are looking for a model of a horse.......would a unicorn qualify? If so, you might try this link: http://www.dragaodepapel.com/models.php?PHPSESSID=13b7eb788a6df20f07f0dfb05ebf8551

There you will find a unicorn, which isnt bad looking, and two smaller horse models, which are abit more "cartoon like". There is also a model of a V1 buzzbomb for download too. Below are photos of the models offered on the site:

Now I havent built any of these models, but like I said, I try to remember where free downloads are when I come across them, especially "one of a kind" models, like those of horses, in this case a unicorn.
I hope this brings a smile to your daughters face.

    Have a good day,

    Greg aka GW

There seem to be a problem with downloading from that page. Every time I try, I get and error message.

P.S. I disabled firewall for a moment and managed to get it.

The site seems o.k. This is one occaison where "save target as" won't work
the link goes to piece of PHP script which probably handles the download.

    Fast site - 200 - 300 kB/s on download.

    Regards,

    Charlie

    Howdy again Kaz,

Ok, I have sometimes run into problems like this before. You might try clicking on the "click here" button then, instead of "saving" the file, just "open" it. once it d/l's into a temp file, then you can go back and "save" it.
If this doesnt work, (i havent tried it on this link yet) you might email the site owner and ask him to email the file back to you and explain the trouble you are having to him so as that he may remedy it. Usualy the site owners are more than happy to email you the file since they want to know if people are having trouble with their site.
Sorry for any trouble this may have caused. Hope this "tip" works for ya.

    have a good evening,

    Greg aka GW

Old Thread but I did find this simple, elegant horse at peramodels.com.

I've built a few of these kits and they are a pleasure to build and while not striving for anatomical accuracies they are quite stylish!
