Definitely not my "cup of Tea".
And, bottom's up...
All the lower saucer add ons
...cities aflame in the Summertime, Ooooh!, and the band played on.....
"The Temptations" "Ball of Confusions", your model builds, showing continuity (except yours is for the positive). song is great too, the continuity it shows is still going on though. Here's the song:
All the bits attached, a few "patch" pieces required...
Now to tackle the lighting!
That is one good looking saucer section. Did you use thicker cardboard? The surfaces really look smooth, and the shape is well defined.
Thanks Zathros, I used the formers as per Zosho's design. I was poking around on the "other" forum and found a design that is 1:1000 scale (modified Zosho). This one is big, but that will be huge! basic eyeball comparison of the design puts this one at about 1:2000.
So I deceided to sort out the last piece of the neck
Greebling and window fix to be done
p.s. Who's the cutie?
That's my daughter oldish picture though. Miss her (& my son) terribly. I only get to see them 8 hours over the weekend thanks to my wife's antics.
She is precious.
Progress has been delayed a bit, I moved into my own place over the Easter weekend, had to leave the model stuff at my parents for now. I'm doing bit by bit, currently working on the lighting for the saucer
Had to do it twice in 3 months!
I figured that it would be easier to get the lighting and final construction done better by attaching the saucer base to the secondary hull; here we go
And the lower two "rings" of the saucer, including the rim
WOW!!! This is sure progressing nicely!
Saucer progressing nicely,
And just the super-structure to start on
I'll say! Looking good! The cuts are very well done and SMOOTH!
