ACT RR Progress in G Scale

    Here are some pictures of weekend work on the Albuquerque Carnuel & Tijeras RR. This was all the wood from a piece of 2X12X8 redwood.

    Very nice. What tools are you using to saw the wood? Bandsaw, tablesaw, or one of those mini-tablesaws?

    Scott it was all done on a 10" Craftsman table saw . and a Bosch pin nailer , and Titebond wood glue. Iripped a 2X12X8 into 1/2 X 1/2 and 1/2 X 1 which lft some 1/4 X 1/2 strips (used for Braceing)

    looks good my question is now indoor or outdoor if out how long do you think it will last? or are you going to treat it

    Thanks Guys , 9731 I am washing them all with Watered down Grimmy Black Acrylics and in our climate they will out live me (maybe).

    That looks a LOT better set in place :) :) and weathered too :)

    Today , July 2, I got the low trestle built , painted , weathered and planted and the entire loop connected and am test running.

    Neat movie! do you plan to make the creek bed a flowing river? My friend's G scale layout has one, and it makes worlds of difference, also creates nice water feature for the backyard! :thumb:
