a sad day in railroad history, yet another steam engine falls prey to the new wave of engines, chattanooga engine #638 is headed to the local scrap yard.
*steam fans please do not kill me. this loco was already scrap when i got it.
well, a friend gave it to me (it was already junk) and said do what you want with it so i covered the parts that were chipped or missing,so i covered that with tarp (ciggerette wrapping)
I don't mean to change the subject but what is the difference between a "rail car" and a "heavy load car"? Seems like there is always something to learn about trains.
A quick search found this Wikipedia site with a photo 0f a steamer on a flat car
(how about that!?) ...and a little farther down a heavy load flat car.
