This must have been one heck of a storm when it hit:eek:

Taken in the 70s On Queen Street travelling west just passed the Don Valley Bridge and the King street turn off.

BTW, Chris, how do those IE's like it when a jillion volt lightniong bolt hits the overhead? Hit a speed record, burn stuff up, or were they well protected. Maybe just dissapates over the grid and leaves the poor little trolly alone. You know that's why auto tires have to have a certain amout of carbon by law? Keeps the juice off the people.

The street car are grounded through the track If you ever lost that grounding you then have what`s called a LIVE car if you were to step off the car and touch the street while still holding on to the Streetcar you get smoked. Ya got to jump off and ground the car with the switch iron(let the iron fall onto the body while it`s touching the rail) and God help ya if ya forget to let go.:cool:
