A tiny bit more progress. The landing struts and wheels are done, along with a spinable spinner and prop blades.

Also, not the cleanest wing tip, and until Jackyl spills the beans about how he really did his wing tip lights not the most realistic, but it's ok with me.

Finished up wing, ready to mount on the fuselage, perhaps a project for the morrow.

Last for today, really, have to get up early and do that other job of mine!
A sort of update, the wings were mounted on the Orlik but not faired in yet. The top/side fairing was to narrow to cover the aft edge of the wing, I had to copy the thing and make it bigger. The bottom fairing piece is big enough but it needs dry fitted. It only needs @ 1/4 mm adjustment but whereit is makes a big differance for the top wing fairing pieces for later. Here's a shot with the landing gear dry fitted, next to the Maly.

Thanks guys! Here's some of teh winding down building on the Orlik wings, They've already been added to the aircraft, the 1st pic is the bottom section needing faired, 2nd is the piece installed, 3rd is the main wing root to be faired, 4th with its fairing, and last is the wing trailing edge. Not a bad fit so far...

Three cheers Ted! Two great 109's!

This has been a great, informative thread. Very good info for folks comparing the 2 publishers, and another great platform for showing your obvious skill (and truly SCARY build speed :-o )
