#844 UP 4-8-4 HO scale

I was posting to see what the opinions are on the best non-brass HO scale 4-8-4 #844 UP locomotive is there out to buy.

I am replacing an older (motor in cab) Rivarossi 4-8-4 #844. The motor never worked right and the replacement was not suitable for the locomotive, meaning it went all out when given any power.

I am looking for a sound equipped one in DCC but if there is a non sound nonDCC one that is an excellent one then I would like to look into buying that one.

Yeah'know' correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall another non brass U.P FEF other than the Rivarossi produced one.....
Bachmann sells a U.P Overland set with a 4-8-4 but its engine's more of a Santa Fe prototype design.


Edit: O.K after some digging find Athearn makes a very nice FEF-3 numbered 844 with DCC&Sound but its gonna cost yeah' their pretty pricey over $300 new. maybe they have a DC non sound version too?
