    Hi
    Im about to purchase a 4tec, and im wondering if thats a good chassis? The guy at the hobby shop said to buy a TC3 or RS4 SS but its so expensive. THoughts plz!

    get a tc3. 4-tec is fast but a pain in the#@$%to work on. RS4 not as fast as a tc3 and not as adjustable.

    how bout parts availability? performance compared to others? hop ups?

    Also check out the HPI R40. The car is adjustable in every way and very comparable to the 4tec. I was looking at a 4tec for a while until we found out that the new 2.5 was a bad motor. There have been a serious number of defective piston/sleeve's and also bad carbs. so I would stay away from traxxas untill they get their probs fixed. But in the long run I ended up with the R40 and I love it.
