ok, so I'm making a 3foot tall ovoid cone.
cut down the sides, two pieces,
framing border matte, 1mm thick.
it needs to be pretty.
main concern- need to make it bend and hold shape.
is a steam iron the best way?
thank you for any kind of advice on this,
Jim

Making an Ovoid Cone it itself would not be hard, but the shapes you want are what you must post. Profile curve. If you could post something in a vector format, I could make one, then brake it down so you could have formers. you could then use the formers to make the shape out of the material of your choice. a 13" x 19" printer would be best. I can make thee pattern 1:1, but need the profile your going for. Rhino will print out the sections of the formers with alignments marks for you to make bigger ones when necessary. Let me know. Also, what do you want to make it out of, wall thickness, (or solid?). :)

well im making a 3 foot long Icarus from planet of the apes. I am going to scribe in lines down from the point to the base every 1/2 mm and bend it. if that doesn't work I might have to start over with your idea. thanks Zathros, you have always been great help!
