I was looking for a 280z paper model and found this one.The model is white, so I recolored it red and black. I also made a front and rear bumper. I did a few other things as well. The first picture is the original white model.

That's coming out really nice. I would have cut out the glass and put dark plastic, maybe Chrome Window Ting on the inside, it just looks so much better, not too late. That's a great model. Car models are hard to keep true to form. ;)

Thank you zathros! I should have recolored the windows light blue. I finished the mirrors and the tires. This finishes the model. It was a nice break from the The African Queen, but it is time I get back to work on it.:)

Guess what I found when I was looking for Z ,Datsun, and 280z logos/medallions to make the Red 280z look better. Which I did find them and put them on the templates, but I went a little further. :)

That's pretty neat. My sister had a 280Z which I used to beat the cr@ap out of. It liked it. :)

Cool!! I wish more people would do cars on the forum. They are neat and there are some really nice ones out there. I use Liquid Tape to paint the wheels, it makes them look like rubber. You just brush it on. :)

I have looked up the real car. Your model looks good but I am not sure about that open space at the front right under the hood (not the space between the bumpers and the front). Is it supposed to be that way or shall it be closed?

The front end is off, but you could do anything with that. You just basically need to make a crescent shaped moon piece to the right length and thickness, and curve it to fit in there. My sisters car did have huge ugly stock bumpers on it.

Yup, sure did. It was when the "5 mph bumper law came into effect. A Jersey barrier would have looked better! :)
