    If you want a model of a Saturn 1B check out " Precision Paper Space Models " www76.pair.com/tjohnson
    They have a very good model of it and a few others for download.

    Tony this is the Saturn 1B from Precision I built about a year ago, the kids have had a good play with this one!
    It's about 39 cm tall, in three stages.

    Sorry for the poor pics as i can't get my dig camera to load on to the site

    regards

    Thanks Rob, I have downloaded and built the Space Launch Report one in 1/96th scale. In fact, I am using some of the details from the 1/96th scale Saturn V to upgrade the 1b with 3D ullage and retro rockets and other details.
    I am also building another one as the ASTP launch vehicle SA-210, but this time it is getting full stringer details and as many 3D details as I can load onto her.

    Having said that, I was interested in this version because it is 1/72 scale and I would like to build her bigger.

    Prepatory to a 1/48th scale version, that is........ :wink:

    Cheers

    Adding 3D detail where it was just printed on to my new build of the ASTP Saturn 1B.

    If you want 1:48 models, then maybe www.cardinspace is something for you.

    I am preparing the full range of launchers from Project Mercury to Apollo in 1:48. Unfortunately, it will be a while until the Saturn launchers are there - I have just finished the Mercury Little Joe and a Redstone is in final detailing. Saturn Ib will be next.

    Michael, thank you. Having built the Little Joe, I definitely will build anything you like to offer. The Saturn 1B in 1/48th to the same standard would be a literal dream come true to me. Can I ask that you include the ability to build it as other versions than Apollo 7, perhaps as a conversion to the basic model?

    I want to build several...:)

    Cheers

    Tony,

    I will definetly offer different versions. In the first round I plan to produce the different machines and then in a second round, I'll prepare change kits to build other missions as well.

    Would be nice to see all manned launchers next to each other - would be a whole bunch of metal :)

    Michael

    In the lab:
    * Apollo 7 / Saturn 1b
    * Atlas launch vehicle
    * GATV
