Hey Mike -- Any chance that was the Mk IX flown by Wacław Król in N. Africa? Any relation?
ZX-6 was mostly used by Stanislaw Skalski.
They only had 10 planes and 15 pilots <edited: makes more sense now...> so nobody had personal planes and the kill amrkings are for all the pilots flying this particular plane.
Waclaw Krol - same last name, not a relative...
Alan sid or Bob tak
WW2 british schem
OK Micheal...I think you love this scheme
ZX-6 Stanislaw Skalski, Skalski's Circus
There is several Spitfires around, but yours will be first trully good Mk IX.
Fantastic! Thanks, Nobi.
unfold in progress...picture is some of progress
Looking Good Nobi, I think that I might buy this and turn it into a RCN Seafire.
talking about Canadian, how about this project;
442's restoration project, I'd pretty much forgotten it.
I had the choice between going to 442 Sqn in Comox or 417 at Cold Lake after my trades training, Comox was mighty tempting, but the "aluminium death tube" was just so much sexier than Twotters, and Voyageurs.
