1/144 US Navy
USS Los Angeles, SSN 688
Paper Model Template by (c) U-DON'S FACTORY

Last piece of work before long vacation.

Nuclear Power Attack Sumarine,
Los Angeles Class US Navy.

Well, I am a 1/144 guy. So, when I decide to build a ship, I build in 1/144 scale.
It is so large. Let's get started with pieces of stern part of the ship.

Thanks to Zathros, the technique you drew the 3D of how to glue fuselage of big plane together really work. I applied this technique with the canopy, and also the body of this submarine.

You are right, Dragos, I haven't paint the curb yet.

Actually, I haven't install the periscope and communication mast yet.

I'll finish up this sub after New Year. ^ ^

Just have time to complete this model.

So, I add periscope, antenna and rope hook on the ship. (Very small).

I also repaint the bow with acrylic paint, retouch the curb of the ship with crayon. I think it's look good now.

Dear Zathros,

Well, Navy is different story and to build 1/144, it would require a lot of space, in which I don't have.

I also tried to build paper ship but the details is totally different from Paper plane. So, I might built some more submarines, some surface ship but surely not the entire Navy ^ ^

Impressive. I'm guessing the overall lenght is better than 24 inches? The colors look very realistic.
