    I just remembered, that a while back the P-40's on the ground at Pearl Harbor, during the filming of TORA TORA TORA, were full size mock-up replicas made of fiber glass and plywood. There is a scene where one of the mock-ups was taxing before it was destroyed. It was fixed for an engine to be able to taxi.
