I want to bank the 072 curves I plan on using on my layout. Is the a degree I should use? Thanks

Very little. I've heard of people using a piece of 20- or 22-gauge wire under the outer edge of the ties. It doesn't take much of a bank to get the benefit, and too much banking usually causes problems.

    Joe,
Superelevation, or raising the outside edge of a curved track section, will help your trains stay on the track at higher speeds. I'd recommend no more than an 3/16" difference from the insdie to outside curve edge. Any more and the tilt may derail your train if travelling the curve too slowly.
