I have to replace the 3 strand ribbon wire that connects the automatic switch controller to the 022 switch. Is there a standard length for this wire, or was the length dictated by switch position on any given layout. I'll use most of these switches on my layout and will make those wires the appropriate length. I would like to sell the ones I don't need and would like to have the proper length wires attached. Thanks for any input. Davess36

You can run them whatever length you need to reach the switches on your layout. If you're going to run a really long length, you might consider using a heavier gauge wire to combat voltage drop.

To save some $$ I think you can run heavy gauge 22ga 4-wire phone cable for the controls. The wire is color coded, and easier to decipher at the ends. I would suggest a heavier gauge to run power to the switches.
