    Military base of AČR (1:250)

Way smaller than "N" scale. "Z" scale is 1:220 and this is even smaller.

    Frog chorus-paper automata

Hummm. I can't hit "like" 10 times! This is a neat little artwork.

    Show us your modeling corner

As it was at 6am. I've straightened a bit since taking the photos. I'm another of the neat-nick modelers. First photo is as much an overview as possible. Space is tight and you'll note that this is/was a closet. The rest of the small bedroom is equally packed with computer stuff, library...

    Better name for "PLASTIC" section

Using my own models I can illustrate four categories. I don't have a newbie photo - I'm not sure if cameras were used back then! First up I feel is Out of the Box. Window treatments were added. Otherwise the plastic open face casting was cleaned and painted. Next is detailed. Working...

    Better name for "PLASTIC" section

Yes to that suggestion. I wonder how "super" was ever appended to "detailed" in the first place. I guess because some folks are better at it which is really subjective. Out of the box, Beyond the box Detail and Scratch/Parts built would cover most plastic model building...

    I wanna try the LM...

I support the wire idea. The blackened areas draw my eye even more than the grey. DBKing has a right idea. Settle on the display method now, then do what is needed for enforcement as the model moves toward completion.

New to Paper Modeling! Question about glues.

Glue is a matter of preference. Aleen's Tacky Glue doesn't soak in very much on small parts. Not a good choice for larger areas or lamination. Spray glue or Saran Wrap + an iron for laminations and various solvent based glues and adhesives for large areas. Lots of possibilities in the scrap...

How do I keep long flat sections of paper from bending.

1/64" and/or 0.4 mm plywood are available at hobby shops or on line. Once upon a time I bought a sheet at Lowes - but I think that was a fluke. (USA, last last century) A sheet of ply can be laminated to the card, crossing the respective grains. It is tough stuff. I've found that scissors...

    My Pacific... a life-long project

In North America. Europe usually uses axle counts rather than wheel counts. Usually the North American "name" carries across the ocean for a given type of locomotive. As in all matters railroad, things may differ!

Is all HO track created equal?

No - different brands are not necessarily interchangeable. Particularly brands intended for the European market (NEM standards) and brands made for the American market. (NMRA standards.) Different brands can work together, but it means working over the pieces by filing and using shims. Code...

Any Hints for using Zip Dry Glue?

Isn't it like rubber cement? Try peeling it off. Or rubbing it into a ball. The mnfr's site recommends paint thinner for thinning the stuff. But, I doubt that it is still the solvent when the stuff has cured.

    Colour protection for paper models

A photography store will have clear sprays that block UV. Unless you used archival ink jet paper there will still be color leaching because of the acids in the paper. Nothing will stop that. But its a lot slower than UV damage. Canon, HP and Epson all offer paper and ink combinations that...

    bell x-1

Nice work. X-1 is a childhood favorite along with Chuck Yeager. It (a variation - there were several) hangs in the Air and Space Museum, but in my mind's eye it is going a thousand mile per hour!

This is a fine tribute. Thank you for filling in a picture for those of us mostly on the outside of paper modeling.

    Welcome to the new Zealot

One of my favorite things right now is looking at the downloads as they are posted. I'm finding interesting stuff that was not apparent when the old downloads were just a huge collection.
