Barry, Love your Starling! I'm old enough to have seen one of the last Bird class ships in service, HMS Crane , in Hong Kong, mid sixties. Mind you it was not a happy sight as she had ploughed into the side of the inshore sweeper, HMS Damerham, having screwed up coming alongside. Keith M
