    Build a whole Saxony village!

I remember this set. Wasn't there also a warehouse with a small platform? Or am I thinking of another set?

    bwz.39 Motorfort

I already spotted some of that while I was working in Sketch-up (it certainly liked to gobble up everything). The central piece is eight objects , most on the underside. The use of paper rather than card was deliberate, since it's cheaper and disposable.

    bwz.39 Motorfort

I've been trying to learn how to make models using 3D programs. In the past, I've mostly used a combination of physically playing around, math, and vector programs. For this test, I decided to go with a completely obscure alternate history design: a Polish "motorfort" created by Scott Lynch on...

    Wanna enter a real tank?

Real neat! Surprised by how roomy the T-70 interior appears. Shame you can't go into the later models (like the IS-3) The Canadian War Museum has something similar, though offline. By the Sherman in the WW2 exhibit, there's an interactive screen that allows you to look at the interior from the...

B.S.A. Scout Car and Bren Carrier

Well, given that these models supposedly were made in 1942-1943, there's a good chance they've fallen into public domain.

B.S.A. Scout Car and Bren Carrier

I just stumbled on this old kit while checking some paper vehicle sites* : http://ilfavolosomondodicartaditoto.blogspot.ca/2012/05/bsa-scout-car.html LINK NO LONGER VALID I've been looking for Bren Carrier models for years. Maybe someone found a Humber model as well...

    1/144 scale Heavy Gear church

Since I got the math wrong the first time, and since the model is posted on the game's official website, I feel obligated to correct that mistake. Plus, I want to make sure everything fits before I start colouring (and despite the 3D processing, something could have gone wrong when I tinkered...

    1/144 scale Heavy Gear church

Back when I released this model, I tried but failed to make some spiffy railings for the church roof (and other buildings. The reason it has taken so long to get back to this is that I wanted to get them done right in a 3D program and unfold them. I kept getting the same glitch over and over...

    League of Extrordinary Gentlemen

I prefer the version from the comics, with its squid and whale motif. I think the Black Dossier had instructions for an origami Nautilus, unless it was Volume II...

    Warrior IFV

I have an old Osprey magazine (Osprey military journal, vol. 2 issue 2) which has front/back/side. It was taken from the New Vanguard series 10 Warrior Mechanised Combat Vehicle 1987-94, also by Osprey Publishing Ltd.

    Hello Kitty Tank.

The T40 reminds me of the tank from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: a Mk V with a turret!

Would you play a game with paper miniatures?

For vehicles and terrain, all the time! In fact, I even sell paper miniatures and terrain on DriveThruRPG.com

Comic Diorama Fix and Foxi Land

That modern-looking house reminds me of the houses of the Petits Hommes in Elaspion. Maybe Renault's house...

    1/144 scale Heavy Gear church

Some of you might be familiar with the game Heavy Gear. In short, it's a 1/144 scale miniature game about 4 meter tall robot tanks in the far future. Anyways, a few years back, Paul Lesack made a slew of paper buildings to use in games. While reading one of the books, I noticed that the...

Why do you build card models

My (late) grandmother introduced me to card models, with all the neat Dover kits. And when I started wargaming, it provided a cheap (and creative) alternative to plastic kits. And I could build what I wanted, from buildings to tanks, ships, planes, and other doohickeys.
