Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part V

Exams are over...and so is freshman year. Well, that was the worst experience of my life.on the bright side, my folks said they'd work on renovating the attic space behind my bedroom closet this summer, so I'll finally have somewhere to put my trains. Right now, they're more of a dust...

80-Ton Switcher takes out Highway Bridge

Kind of ironic that the engine actually wound up supporting the bridge after its trailer knocked out the support beams, huh? Seems like almost a good thing that that little bugger was on the trailer instead of, say, a couple of bulldozers. Once again, the day is saved...BY THE RAILROADING...

    BTTF Time Train, Anyone?

Sorry, I've been out for awhile. You know, $#!% happens sign1. Anyway, thanks for taking up the challenge, DMC. Like CNWman said, please post progress pics periodically (man, that's a lot of P's):p. Oh, and good luck with it! May your rails stay straight and your boiler stay under...

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part V

Congrats, Sir James!!! Glad to hear everything came out all right. My cousin's birthday party was today. Ate half my weight in garlic bread. I'll take some Tums and call it a night.

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part V

Well, glad to say that today went better than usual...CNWman brought in a 50-year-old piece of O-scale rolling stock (a Payroll car, I think). It was a kit, and still unbuilt, but only 2000 were ever made. He was going to get help from one of the teachers building it...no idea what he's going to...

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part V

#%&! Well, now that that's out of my system, it's time to complain about my day. First off, I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been hit in the head by the Wabash Cannonball or something. Then I decided to have nothing but coffee (which I hate) for breakfast, thinking it would wake me...

So, what does your wife think?

I guess the "ignores it" button would suit your girlfriend best. As for your mother, go with "provides occasional input" or something...I dunno...All I know is I'm 14, completely single, and really wish I could find a girlfriend who's as much of a geek as I am. I've got a friend who kind of...

Yeah, pretty much...at least he's not destroying anything. Actually, he's starting to do that less...guess he's just getting too lazy to lug himself all the way down the hallway to watch 'em run.

    BTTF Time Train, Anyone?

Come on. I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw Back to the Future and thought, "Man, that time machine train thingy would be SO cool to have on my layout!" Obviously, the only way to achieve that would be a severe kitbashing. I'd do it myself, but...I have no experience whatsoever with...
