Paper Patlabor - first build thread...

LOL...Ron, how many years has it been since you introcuded me to paper models, and this is probably my first serious project. You know I'm slow... You are right though, it is kind of like mountain biking...the only way to get better at it, and gain skill is to DO IT. So for all you...

Paper Patlabor - first build thread...

Time for a small update...I know, it is taking me forever, but I'll get there. I can genuinely say that this has been my fav. model to build so far...it has some challenges, but nothing my meager skill cannot overcome! :thumb: (That was an inside joke, in case you didn't get it...)

Paper Patlabor - first build thread...

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Jules kits are really good. He just lacks in the instructions, which he just does on his website, since it is a free kit, I don't blame him. It would be a lot of work just to do instructions. He is missing a few numbers on the instructions, but nothing a novice...

Paper Patlabor - first build thread...

...yeah, well it is technically my first "build" thread. Time to put up, or shut up...right?! LOL...I'm just kidding. I really am posting this because I would like all the good constructive criticism I can get. I know you guys are true talents in this field, and I know you can point me in the...

    AV-98 Ingram Patrol Labor - paper-replika.com

Jules, though I've said it once, I want to say it again, thank you so much for your effort on this kit. Mechs are by far, my favorite paper models, and I am going to build this one right away. Heck, I may even break down and do a build thread.......but don't hold your breath! :woot1:

    Someone has pirated Marvin!!!!

Hey, I just wanted to weigh in on this discussion...I like what someone said about the "respect" for property. It may not be piracy, but it sure is bad manners. I can understand how paulhbell feels...I took up for someone on another forum, and the mods there crucified me. Mods in general, have a...

Gpm scharfshutze 1:200 laser cut kit

LOL...it is just like photo-etched parts for plastics. And plastic sprues...you screw up a part, you screw up a part. Although plastic is probably easier to hide mistakes on! lol I like the precision stuff...I hope they do more of this...I would imagine it would allow smaller...

Hey Bongo, congrats on finishing the series! They all look great. Now all you need to do is make a stand for them all to be put on...like I suggested in your first photo...that would look really cool! Thanks again for providing these for free, my friend will get a lot of fun out of...

    P-51D "Petie" 1:33 Halinski

This is looking "top notch" JS...I'm curious, do you use CA glue (super glue) on the formers/framework...then just regular glue for the skins? I've noticed that the purchased (modelik, GPM, etc.) kits have very thick paper, and was wondering if CA glue would not be a better idea...especially...

    Gundam GP03 Stamen

Hey that is slick skip...nice piece of engineering...Are you going to try and use the same joint (just beefier I guess) for the legs as well? I was catching up on this thread this morning...and I have only one thing to say... Best not to think of them as Robots then. They have a pilot inside...

    NT ALEX GUNDAM test build

33cm tall eh?...that is 12.99 inches (God bless the american standard) lol So that would make it like 1/60 scale...was that your intention? I was going to ask because I can't see building a 1/100 scale model they are about 7-8 inches tall...18-21cm...almost too small, at least for my fat...
