It depends on what size you are trying to make but I have made canopies from light bulb packaging. This was a package of night light bulbs.

    Fly'N Things GREAT FREE Models!!

I built these flying models quite a few years ago and I must say I was impressed by the way they fly. My nephew likes to take them out in the yard and fly them whenever he visits. They are very sturdy models.

    Rescaling Models

As DaveStan noted in his post, scaling down pixel-based images results in blurry images, but we have a way to fake them out and resize them without letting the image know that it was changed. In the first picture we see part of the image before anything happened. Note it was a 300dpi file...

    Rescaling Models

In my previous post I didn't mean to make it sound like JPG images are bad. There are lot of good model available as JPG, it's just that you lose resolution with each save of the file. So when I am going to upscale or downscale a JPG, I save it as a PNG or TIF and use that for the up/down...

    Hello, in from the cold

I just discovered this forum a few days ago. Or, to be truthful, I just rediscovered this forum a few days ago when I found the link buried in a favorites subfolder. It seems I joined back in 2006 and had made 2 posts and then nothing. So I'm new to the forum but not new. :confused...
