    Here are both turrets, side by side. Do YOU have a preference? If it weren't for Darwin and Maurice, I'd be stuck with the original turrets, which were quite unexceptable, so a huge hats off and thanks the these guys. The barrels again, are toothpics turned in my Dremel tool...

    Here are three views of the much improved turret....thanx to Darwin and his magical transformation. Maybe (if we're nice), he'll show us how he did that! Obviously the original quanset hut JSC turret on left in No.1 position, and Darwins re-design on the right......much more true to the 1/1...

    Thanx Darwin....... These unfinished barrels are toothpics shaped with a sanding stick in a dremel tool. They are not mounted permanently since I hope to change the (quanset hut) turret shape. click pic to enlarge

    Darwin..... Quanset huts....yea, that's a great description. I like that. I agree with that evaluation and am definitely open to any suggestion for improvement. I'm not at the level yet of being able to design, re-scale, etc...so I'll be all eyes and ears to improve these funky turrets...

    Darwin..... Quanset huts....yea, that's a great description. I like that. I agree with that evaluation and am definitely open to any suggestion for improvement. I'm not at the level yet of being able to design, re-scale, etc...so I'll be all eyes and ears to improve these funky turrets...

    No. 1 turret on the left is shown assembled as instructed from the kit part and I was not quite happy with the result. No.2 turret is shown after some modification and paint.....still not true to the 1/1 but I think it is closer and makes a better presentation. At least as much as my limited...
