    OK major embarrassment - left it all alone for a few days, going to take the decoder back to the shop but hey, why not check one final time. What's this? A loose wire? gulp! At least it'll teach me to be a little more methodical in working through problems and eliminating potential issues...

    Thanks guys - programming on the Main worked as stated. I was trying to do it all on a program track and in that cycle on the controller it doesn't ask the address twice. However, all running fine now, started with 0003 then entered the road number on the second prompt. no need to fiddle...

    I can't work this all out! I have two Bachmann GE 70 tonners and an Athearn AC4400 plug n play with a Digitrax DH123 decoder and whilst they'll all run on loco address 03, I can't programme the road number so that they are not all moving at once!! I know there is debate on here about the cheap...

    The DH123P instructions actually refers to just DH123 inside the packet. The nine pin decoder can only go in one way round due to the moulding - it fits just fine. I don't have a DC track but before installing the decoder I put the loco on the live DCC track the lights lit up and the motors...
