    Code 83 or 100

I forgot. Is HO gage Code 100 the "old style" and code 83 the newer, more realistic track?

    MDC Oldtimer Tender

Thanks Thanks for the good info. At least now I know the story on MDC. Anyone knows of some larger but older shops that might have some dusty shelves, I would appreciate the lead. Nothing against ebay, but I need 2 of these tenders and the item itself is so esoteric that I'd probably wait for...

    MDC Oldtimer Tender

Rephrase Maybe I should rephrase the question. Went on the MDC/Roundhouse website and all that is listed is N scale. I know they made HO in the past, so has all HO production stopped? Also. anyone know of a dealer that might have a lot of older MDC stock just waiting for someone like me to...

    MDC Oldtimer Tender

No ebay Not to be nasty, but it seems as if ebay is the answer to most of the questions on this fourm. Thanks a million for the reply but I would rather pass than be an ebay lurked for weeks and then lose it to a last second bidder.

    w tenderDCC for Mantua 2-6-6-2

Solution Think I might have answered my own question. Looks like a small circuit board in the tender needs to be removed leaving the connection for the wiring harness. Is this right?

    w tenderDCC for Mantua 2-6-6-2

Can anyone give me some detailed information on wiring a Mantua Classics 2-6-6-2 with a tender. I intend to buy a wiring harness with the decoder so stuff like the red wire goes to the motor, etc. is unnecessary. Just is there a plug n play and where is it connected is what I need. Thanks

    Steep Grade Problem

Thanks again for the additional valuable information, especially on the vertical transition length. I'm thinking I'll try the earlier post suggesting latex caulk, then to plywood or combined with plywood.

    Steep Grade Problem

Munising is just fine. Tons of snow, but that's normal. Just moved here from downstate, but had a summer place before. I used to live in Chassel and worked in Calumet. Really loving Munising now.
