Most likely will scrape them.Added up the cost of trucks and couplers and i can buy athearn kits over at the hobby shop and better quality thanks guys for the help

Insulaters thats it ill try and up load a pic of what im trying to do.but you have it im trying to hold train 2 short of the switch and let train 1 crossover onto track 2 and into the yard

Thanks I,d never had thought about what you said about the truck mounted couplers.I knew they were cheap and I was planing on replacing them as time went on .Seen an article on how to do it and want to give it a try . Bought an athearn kit the other day and seen how much better the trucks were...

Me again doing a cross over from what I call track 1 to track 2. I Insulated one rail and solderd the wires to the rails before and after the Insulater .Got a #205 atlas connector and wire it up but when i tested it the train didnt stop. On the under the tree train sets they come with what i call the old default coupler not the knuckle coupler.I want to change them over to knuckle couplers but so far alls iv found are couplers with the big hole to hold them in place.Does anybody know if they make a knuckle coupler with the small...

For the guys that have been modeling HO for a wiel what are some good knuckle couplers and uncouplers that dont cost to much.I have some old HO stuff that came with the standerd type and want to change over to knuckle type.That and in the future Ill have a better idea of what to buy and look for...
