    is there anything i need to do to a new engine before running it?

    I would clean the track (you would be suprised how much dirt gets on them in a short amount of time.....). i would also check to make sure the wheels are clean. There might also be some 'crap' in the motor that is fouling it up. Good Luck!

    handlaid crossover

    I agree. Great work!!! I have recently aquired some gold medal models details, and i have been happy for them, but as stated, they are mostly generic stuff like wipers and mirrors.

    Kato F7's (super chief)

    oops SORRY!!! The locos and all are in N scale! I am using z scale couplers on the front of the A units because they look better! I am running into clearence issuses because the 'draft boxes' (i think) are too long and rubbing against the frame. sorry for the confusion!!!!
