What else producers do produce buildings in H0?

There are many companies that make buildings for HO scale. Going through the Structures section of the current Walthers catalog, I counted 56 companies that make buildings (I excluded any company that only makes bridges, etc.). Display Cases

Assuming I was going to stain the wood for this display case, do I need to be concerned about the stain from the wood getting onto the train car wheels over long periods of time? I assume this is dependent upon the particular type of stain used. It might be wise to not stain the wood where it...

    Using an Ultrasonic Cleaner

Do you store the alcohol after using it or is it simply discarded? Because of its relatively high evaporation rate, leaving it in the ultrasonic cleaner for an extended period seems like a bad idea. I generally rinse the ultrasonic cleaner as soon as I'm finished using it.

    Using an Ultrasonic Cleaner

This evening I performed an experiment using alcohol in my ultrasonic cleaner. I put an old shell in 70% isopropyl for about five minutes (two minutes followed by three minutes). The paint in some areas came loose and many other areas look unaffected. In certain areas, entire patches are now the...
