    Undermount switch machine advice wanted

    I'm getting ready to mount a bunch of Atlas #65 Undertable switch machines. The instructions say to drill a 3/8"-1/2" hole directly below the throwbar with the hole in it, then stick the 'pointer' up through the hole. What happens to this hole when I get to ballasting & landscaping...

    Returning to the hobby now that I'm all grown up, after a 30 year hiatus....I came across a box of 20 brand new, un-opened Atlas switches and a bunch of flex track that I bought 20 years ago. I'm finally getting around to using them. But what are they? I can't find any info on them. Part numbers...
