How are the Athearn Bombardier coaches?

I have a set of OLDER Sounder cars and a newer F59PHI. I haven't yet seen the new release of Bombardier cars, and I have no idea if there any different, if they've been re-tooled or anything of the like... But my experience is, they actually worked better on my old layout in the push position...

    Pacific north west

I live smack in the middle between Seattle and Portland on the BNSF mainline... Major rolling stock in this area is Centerbeam's and boxcars for wood, lots of intermodal stuff... BNSF runs it's one of its unit grain trains right through here. Even have 11 coal trains a week now through where I...

    Where to start!?!

Well hello all. Over the last year, I've slowly but surely gathered info and ideas on a layout that I want. While I was doing this, I built my tables, put out all my foam, and then drew out, and tested for clearance, all aspects of my track plane to scale on the foam. Now I'm at a point to where...

    Atlas flex track, radius

This is exactly what I did, but went a little different sizes, 27" and 33"... Just to be different. They work very well, and very easy to use.

Anyone in the Seattle area know how to wire steamers for DCC?

I've been to both of those places (for things other then wiring) and the service was excellent at both. I especially like North End, great place to be if your a modeler. :thumb:

Where to buy track in bulk??

I can attest to this. Although my room is smaller then yours (or so I think, it's only 15x11) and after all is said and done, I'll need at least 70 pieces of just flex. I was very surprised at how much I'll need with how small my layout is.

    Breaking it down - Freestyle!!!

I so would NOT have the patience to do that. I envy you for that fact and your beautiful track work. Hopefully you can find a place on your layout for it. If not, I am in need of a cross over sign1

    Walthers Auto-Rack loading ramp?

Maybe Walthers will re-release it like there doing with other kits right now. I'm sure that would make a lot of modelers happy.

    Walthers Auto-Rack loading ramp?

Am I dreaming when I think I've seen pictures of this? Awhile back, I thought Walther's brought this product, but sold out pretty quick and is extremely hard to find? Is this all a dream? If not, does anyone know where I can find one, or maybe even two?

What do we hope to see in 2008???

Overland has made the necessary tooling, so I'm sure other company's will fallow suit soon. Atlas strikes me as a good candidate to make the Green Goats and Gen Sets...

What do we hope to see in 2008???

Thats what I'm talking about. So hopefully Athearn DOES have the rights to do it on there own. If not, then my only wish is for more Northern Pacific stuff.

    Cork roadbed

I'm also working with the Woodland Scenics stuff, and I love it. Biggest thing for me was the no soaking bit. For the money, you also get twice as much material in the Woodland Scenics, at least at my LHS.
