CB&Q...:eeki: ...CB&Q..:eeki: , NO SIR! , those Metra cars are from Metra's Harvard line(Harvard to Chicago) , 110% CNW Gus:thumb::mrgreen: . that line was CNW tracks, now owned and operated by the UP:winki::mrgreen: .
Bottom line is they are not Fords, so he's at a loss right from the get go:eeki: ... ...JUST KIDDING FOLKS, SETTLE DOWN:rolleyes: .
I see exactly what your saying Squidbait:winki: , but we are NOT rivet counters here, by NOT being so technical, more folks can join in without feeling...
were not fussy on hoppers, boxcars, autoracks, why would engines be any different?
getting to technical just takes the fun out of it, but its Charlie's call:winki: .
DOH!:eeki: , i didnt notice those numbers... , guess i should have looked a little closer:119: .
i know the rules Squidbait, i just missed the numbers, my bad:oops::119: .

I just posted my Proto 1000 FM CPA16 "Hardwire" tutorial at the bottom of this page HERE , for those interested:winki::smilie: .
PROTO 1000 Sound decoder "Hardwire" install
BEFORE WE BEGIN...
I am going to show you folks how I do a "Hardwire" install.
What is a "Hardwire" install?
A "Hardwire" install is wiring a decoder, or in this case a sound decoder, into an engine.
We will be doing the hardwire...
ANSWERS:
1- yes, the Proto Alco PA has enough room for a sound decoder:thumb: .
2- Loksound offers VERY GOOD sound decoders with the correct sounds:thumb: . from what i understand they actually record the engines they offer sound for. i have heard FM(for example)engines run several times...
Ed, i like seeing the models too, so keep posting them:thumb: .
ah, one thing though, Charlie is to darn nice to tell you your supposed to post a pic, then let someone ELSE post a pic, then you can post a pic again, its in the rules:winki::smilie: .
